HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEIRA.  We are so happy that we were able to be with you on your special day.

In the afternoon our Rock Star was Maisie.  Maisie shared her HUGE barbie house that included a horse stable.  This was pretty much the coolest barbie house we have ever seen. In Kindergarten we are learning to ask our Rock Star "What" questions.  Maisie did a great job answering the questions.

Today we learned the letter Ii.  Ask your child what starts with Ii?

We read the Story What is Peace? We are learning that peace can be many different actions and feelings.

We are still collecting food for the Veterans Food Bank.

 Today our Rock Star was Oscar.  Oscar loves Spiderman.  He likes to dress like Spiderman AND today he was even wearing a Spiderman mask.  SOO COOL!

This month our school is focusing on the buffalo and how it represents Respect.  

The teaching of respect is taught to us by the buffalo. The buffalo provided Indigenous Peoples with everything they needed to survive: hides for warmth and shelter, meat for eating, muscle for sinew, and bones for tools. The buffalo reminds us to respect all living things, and in doing so we achieve a balance that keeps us alive. When you stop giving respect you can lose respect.

 This morning our Rock Star was Amaira. She shared that she loves to play with Barbies and her dollhouse. She also told us that she likes to dress her dolls up in different clothes.

In the afternoon our Rock Star was Aubrey.  Aubrey loves animals. She showed us a picture of her riding a horse and playing with her cast named Pickles.

 

As a school this year every month we will focus on one of the seven sacred teachings.  This month we are learning about Respect.  We watched a pre-recorded assembly and learned why the sacred teachings are important.  

We brainstormed different ways we can show respect and our journal entry was all about Respect.
