Day 4

Have you ever watched the show, Nailed It on Netflix?  Well, that is what I want to say about our Kinders and their indoor shoes.  They TOTALLY Nailed It!!  Indoor shoe switching is a tricky process because the AM shoes and the PM shoes are in two different locations but both crews did an AMAZING job and I am so proud of them.  We are really working through many transitions and new skills and they are really ROCKIN' each new task I give to them.  

Today both the AM and PM had our first attempt at PE.  We played games where we learned about spacial awareness and listening. PE class is done together with both Kinder rooms, so if your child has a friend in Mrs. Hughes room then they were able to be together today. :) It was also a great chance for some of our kiddos to meet Mrs. Hughes. Luckily we work together almost daily so there will be lots of chances for us all to be together.

We are spending a lot of time learning how to wash our hands. We wash our hands before and after snack and when we come back from playing outside. 

Our learning task today was a colouring page.  This will be put to the side and then we will compare it to your child's colouring in June.  It is a super cool activity to see the growth and improvement and celebrate one another!

We went on a Bear Hunt today but we didn't find any bears.  I did learn about some of our kinder friends and their summer bear experiences though.

A Few Reminders:

Please remember a water bottle for your child.

Please have indoor shoes at daycare and kindergarten.

Day 3

 Happy Tuesday!  It was great seeing the entire class altogether for the full time. We started many routines. The trickiest one is our indoor shoes. If you haven’t already sent your child with indoor shoes please bring them when you have a chance. The kids need indoor shoes for both at daycare and kindergarten. 

We started our morning message and calendar routine today. We also did our attendance with our name rocks. We also had our first community circle and snack. Please be aware that we do have some nut and egg allergies in our classroom. 

The AM crew had music with Ms Lysak and we all had fun playing centres with our new friends  our learning job today was drawing a self portrait and writing our name

Hopefully, by now you have heard that I am lucky enough to be your child's teacher.  We've had a great few days getting to know each other.  We have learned where the bathroom is, done some colouring and played with new friends.
