Day 79

 Our AM Rock Star was Henry. For Christmas 2019 they received a homemade growth chart from their dayhome. They started a family tradition that every Boxing Day Henry and his sister will measure their height to see how much they've grown in the past year. Henry grew 4 inches this year!

In the PM our Rock Star was Valkyrie. They have many traditions over the Christmas holidays.  She loves decorating the Christmas Tree and making sugar and gingerbread cookies with her brother and mom. She also get to open one gift from mom on Christmas Eve and it is family PJs.  Santa always brings her a new ornament to put on the tree.  Decorating the tree is definitely her favorite tradition

This week we have decided to double up the letter focus because the kids are doing such an amazing job. This week we are learning the letter Dd and Gg.

Today in PE we worked on our planks. In our Google Classroom there are also some plank activities to help build strong bodies. These kids seriously amaze me with their skills.

Day 78

 Today was our friend Marco's Birthday!! We are so happy that we were able to celebrate his special day with him. :)

Today we had to draw pictures of Mrs. Hellyer for the year book.  We watched a step by step video on how to make a person and we adapted it to look like Mrs. Hellyer.  Sadly only one can make it into the yearbook BUT all of them can make it onto the blog. :)

These turned out amazing!!!! We worked super hard on them.  The first step was to draw with pencil.  Then, we went over our pencil lines with sharpie.  We finished the picture by doing our very best colouring.

Soooooo.... the Kindergarten teachers accidentally missed the memo about Hat Day.  I am so sorry, however we wanted to share this picture with you.  It turns out we both had the same idea about how to rock our Friday with our kinder friends.  Even our hair is the same.  haha Have a great weekend!!

Day 77

 This morning our Rock Star was Marco.  Every year after Christmas he travels to Kimberley,BC. With friends and family. They have fun skiing, sledding and skating. After the fun day in the snow they enjoy the hot tub.

In the afternoon our Rock Star was Stephanie. Stephanie's favorite family Christmas tradition is decorating the Christmas tree. It is a time we get to work together and prepare for Christmas. My favorite ornaments are my baby handprint of my first Christmas and my new gingerbread house ornament from my Mommy.
