Today we started a new round of Rock Star.  This round is ALL about our Passions. After 8 months of the teachers telling the children what to share during their special presentations, we are going to SWITCH IT UP!  We know that our kids are passionate about many different topics that they have shared with us during conversations.  We love how unique they are and always want to share about special things in their lives.  This round of our Show and Share is all about your child sharing their voice and speaking about their passion.

What excites you or what are you an expert at? Pretend you are a News Reporter and you are sharing this information with your friends. What would you like to share? What makes you excited and lights a fire? Do you have a hobby, interest, or passion? Now is your chance to share.  Send in 1-3 photos in our GOOGLE CLASSROOM and be prepared to explain your passion to us and answer some questions.

Examples: Dinosaurs, Your ballet class, How you garden at home, Your trick bike, Your favourite hockey player, How your alarm system works, A job you want to have when you grow up

This morning our Rock Star was Raiden. Raiden wants to be a YouTuber when he grows up. He wants to cook on YouTube and share his passion for cooking with the world.  Right now he is really good at making mash potatoes. 

We didn't have a Rock Star in the afternoon. Please add to the Google Classroom as soon as you are able to.

Today we had a chance to check out the Duck Eggs.  Right now they are just staying warm and being rotated.

 

Today the PM class got to have their first assembly.  It was for Honesty and all month we will be focusing on Honesty.

After the assembly, we waited for our turn in the library since there was a little wait.

This week our poem is all about colours.

On Wednesday, May 4 is Hats Off for Mental Health.  We will be wearing a hat to acknowledge this day.

New Brighton School will be celebrating the Flames and their playoff run. Every day that the Flames play you are invited to wear red or your jersey to celebrate!!!
