Day 123

 HAPPY SPRING BREAK!!!!!  Today we had fun with iPads, playing outside, practicing our letter sounds and counting.  I hope that you have the best Spring Break and I can't wait to hear all about it on April 3.  See you in a week. :)

Day 122

 Today is the first day of Ramadan.  We learned that during Ramadan we can practice being a good friend.  Ask your child what they wrote about and how they will be a good friend this month.

Day 121

 This month we are learning about the Wisdom of the Beaver.

We had an assembly led by the grade 5's where we learned that everyone has a special gift and we need to have the wisdom to use our gift for ourselves and others.

Day 120

 Today we ROCKED OUR SOCKS for Down Syndrome.  

 

We painted our background and coloured two different socks then glued them onto our painted page.  Today we learned that people with Down Syndrome have three chromosome 21.  That is why we celebrate them on 3.21. 

Tomorrow is Orange Shirt Day.  

We will have an assembly in the afternoon to learn about the Beaver and our new Sacred Teaching.

Day 119

 Tomorrow don't forget to ROCK YOUR SOCKS for World Down Syndrome Day!!  Wear different socks!

Today we learned the last letter of our alphabet.  Ask your child what letter we learned today and what starts with that letter. :)

Day 118

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

When we entered the classroom it was a complete disaster! Toys were out of the bin and the chairs were all knocked over. There were little green footprints all over the walls, windows, doors, whiteboard and tables.  We know that the tricky leprechaun came into our classroom in the wee hours of the night trying to trick us because we made all those traps yesterday.  

We enjoyed playing outside and drawing leprechauns.

At the end of the day we did a rainbow science experiment.

Day 117

 Today we were busy, Busy, BUSY making leprechaun traps.  First, we painted, then we coloured, then we decorated.  One morning and one afternoon friend left their string at school but hopefully everyone else had their traps make it home in one piece. I am excited to hear from my PM class tomorrow if anyone captured a leprechaun.  I hope your kids had as much fun today as I did!!!
