Day 124

 Happy Birthday Jayeh!!!  This morning our Rock Star was Jayeh as we celebrated his birthday.  We hope that you have a super fun day.

In the afternoon our Rock Star was Hazel.

Last night Mrs. Hellyer put up our self portraits.  Can you find your child's picture?

During our school-wide virtual Team Meeting we learned that our school raised $487!!! Each grade was able to adopt an elephant. Our Elephants name is Rama. We are so excited to be able to take care of a baby elephant. :)

We did a guided drawing of a bunny.  We learned how to follow instructions and even followed the colouring instructions to shade and colour realistic features. At the end we sounded out the word bunny and wrote it down. 

We would like to congratulate Ms. Nanavaty!!!!! She will be getting married over Spring Break!!! When we come back to school we will be calling her Mrs. Shaw.  We wish you all the best on your special day. :)

Day 123

In the morning our Rock Star was Arielle.  She loves the story, How to catch a mermaid. It is about trying to catch a mermaid and she keeps escaping through all these crazy places. Arielle's favourite part is when the mermaid scares away the sharks and saves us. 

In the afternoon our Rock Star was Connor!  Connor was super excited to be at the front of the line.

Today we worked very hard on an art project for the hallway.  First we had to draw a self portrait.  Then we had to sharpie it.  Next we coloured it.  Finally we painted a background for our picture to be glued onto.  Now Mrs. Hellyer just has to cut and put all the pieces together and all of our pictures should be up soon ready to show off.

Day 122

             HAPPY BEACH DAY!!!! Even though it snowed this morning we still celebrated a day at the beach together and talked about our favourite things to do at the beach like play in the sand, swim in the water and float on the lake. 

              

This morning Logan was our Rock Star.  Logan chose the book Going on a Bear Hunt.  Logan's favourite part is the end when the bear comes out.

This afternoon our Rock Star was Sawyer. His favourite book is called,The Book With No Pictures. The book is about a book with no pictures. It’s different from other books with no pictures because it makes adults say funny words. His favourite part is Boo Boo Butt because it’s the funniest part.

This morning we did some number bond spring art. We reviewed that 0 - 5, 1-4 and 2-3 are all number bonds for 5!!!
