Day 181

 And with that, our Kindergarten year is over.  Although I am excited to have some quiet mornings drinking coffee while camping with my family, I can honestly say that I will miss seeing this crew every day.  They are truly wonderful!!!  Thank you for all your support, your kind words and your gifts.  I hope that you have the best summer full of memories.  I can't wait to hear about it on the first day of school.  I know that I will be seeing all these bunnies daily because the grade ones have been moved right beside Kindergarten!!!!

Day 180

Today was TOO much fun! We did so many science experiments AND we had PE.  Ask your child what their favourite experiment was.  I will also be posting on the school Instagram account a clip of the day.  Check it out. :)

 

Day 179

 IT'S THE PERFECT DAY FOR A SLUMBER PARTY! 

Today we rocked out our PJs and played games with our friends.  We had a blast playing together.

Today we also went to the book fair and bought some new to me books.  There are still LOTS of books left over.  If you bring some money to schools tomorrow just let me know and I will ensure your child gets a chance to buy some books.  

Day 178

 MISSION IMPOSSIBLE DAY - Our Superheroes saved the world.  I will be sending a video to our Instagram account of all our fun but here are some pictures of our adventures.

Day 177

 Whoa, that was an amazing and emotional week.  I can't tell you how proud I was of each and every child as they got up there and performed for the school and then all of you. As you all witnessed on Thursday, this wonderful group of students worked so hard and are ready for that jump to Grade 1. Thank you so much for coming out and supporting them, these kiddos are so loved. 

The lovely Ms. Russell came back to join us and was a great photographer, taking lots of pictures.  Mrs. Hellyer has worked hard to make all the photos accessible to you! She sent you an email with the information.  This link is only live until Monday, so make sure you go in and download your photos. 

Book Sale Next Week! Kindergarten will be shopping on Tuesday.  Books range from .25 cents to $5, most books being $1.  If you chose to send your child with money to shop, please send it in a baggie or an envelope with their name clearly labeled on it. 

Also just a friendly reminder that we have a week full of fun planned for next week.

Monday - Superhero/Dress Up Day *we will be doing secret missions all day long, come dressed to save the world*

Tuesday - Sleep Over Day *we will be playing board games, come dressed in your PJ's*

Wednesday - Mad Scientist Day *we have saved the best for last, come dressed in your best scientist wear*

Day 176

 WHAT A DAY!  I am incredibly proud of all our almost grade-one friends.  This is the time of year that is hard to be a teacher.  As my Kinder friends show they are ready to move on, it sadly means my time with them is ending.  Here is the link to all the pictures and videos from today.  If you have any questions please let me know.

Day 175

 Today we practiced in front of the school and each group did an amazing job!  Please check your email for a reminder.  The doors open at 10 and the performance starts at 10:15.  In the afternoon the doors open at 2 and the performance starts at 2:15.  You won't want to miss the beginning because it is adorable.  Also, the slide show at the end might require kleenex.  I am so excited to share all the hard work we've been doing. :). Day 174

 Today we had a library presentation in the morning and we watched the grade 5 grad celebration in the afternoon.  Just a reminder that tomorrow is Orange Shirt Day and Thursday is our Kindergarten grad celebration!!! 

Day 173

 Today we practiced our songs A LOT.  We also used measuring tricks to see how many paperclips our shoe is.  First, we took our show off and traced it, then we coloured it, and finally we glued paperclips onto the shoe to see how many paperclips long our shoe was. 

Day 172

 We are learning that shapes are EVERYWHERE!  We made a delicious ice cream truck using just shapes.

We also had some time on the playground AND worked on our performance with Mrs. Hughes's class.  

Day 171

 Today we took our Mantis out for a walk.  It was a cool highlight for MOST kids.  Some were not too excited to see the mantis so close.  We also worked on a 2D and 3D drawing page in our Visual Journal.

Day 170

 Today was SUPER COOL because our Praying Mantis was eating a cricket.  It took all day to eat his meal. We also finished our TOP SECRET activity and it was sent home ready for delivery on Sunday. :)
