Day 160

Happy Birthday Harrison!  We are so happy that we got to spend your special day with you.

We enjoyed looked at the caterpillars today an comparing them to the first time we saw them.

Our poem this week is all about caterpillars. :)

 

Day 159

In the morning our Rock Star was Ethan. Ethan wants to share his puppy Nero. He is a Siberian husky with 2 different color eyes which is common with this breed of dog. His parents are part of a sled dog team. They have really thick fur so they don’t get cold. Nero is 6 months old. They are very smart and stubborn.

 In the afternoon we celebrated Brandon. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR PM FRIEND BRANDON!!

Today we played a guessing game. Asking only questions that had yes or no answers we had to guess what was in the bag.

We were VERY excited when we found out that we had baby caterpillars in the class!!!

We spent some time observing them and coming up with a few wonders

Day 158

 

In the afternoon our Rock Star was Madison.  Madison shared that she loves ballet and she even shared a picture of her with Anna and Elsa which was a huge hit!

YAY for matching missing teeth.  That tooth fairy worked hard over the weekend :)

Today was all about measurement.  We made our own tools and then measured objects around the class that were longer and shorter than our tool

Today we worked on the Welcome to Kindergarten Video for the kids that are coming into Kindergarten in the fall.  It was really fun to brainstorm our favourite parts of Kindergarten and record them for the video.  This took up most of our day.  Stay tuned for the final product.

Day 157

We are SOOO HAPPY to be back together again!!

 In the morning our Rock Star was Jason. Jason loves to make sounds on his keyboard. He loves music and he has a great time playing the music he comes up with. The music sounds great. Jason still discovers how to use all the keys but he is having so much fun doing it. He loves the music to be loud and to have his brother and father around to listen to it. Sometimes he even comes up with words and he sings. He does a great job.

In the afternoon our Rock Star was Logan. Logan really really really likes to play with LEGO. He likes to build the LEGO and then very carefully he plays with them but sometimes the LEGO is soooo BIG that he can't play very well. Logan's most favourite thing he ever made was the fire station.

In our journals today the children had a chance to tell me something that they have never told me before.  It was lots of fun coming up with an idea and sharing new things with our friends.

**We don't have any Rock Star Presentation uploaded for our AM class and we only have one more Rock Star Presentation for our PM class.  This last Rock Star Presentation is all about sharing something exciting with the class that you haven't had a chance to share. Please upload your Child's presentation into Google Classroom so they can be a Rock Star**

**We are also looking for plastic lids for a Father's Day Craft.  If you have any leftover plastic lids laying around please bring them to class. **

Also if you have not already brought back your poetry book please return it to school.
