Our Rock Star today was Aleah.  Aleah painted this picture of a rainbow. She likes to make rainbows because they have lots of colours in them. Aleah likes to paint because there are so many beautiful things that she can make.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN from the AM Crew!!!

We went to judge all the pumpkins from the pumpkin contest.  These were our favourites.

Special shout out to Parker and Chloe for their pumpkins.

There were soooo many amazing pumpkins!!!!!

We also had a virtual costume parade.  While the kids watched the parade they ate their popcorn snack.

 Sophia shared a picture of her at dance.  She loves to dance with her friends.  At dance Sophia likes to do cartwheels and play with her friends.

Monroe shared a picture of her dog named Rosie. Her name is Rosie because her mom likes that name. She also have two stuffs in the picture. Smokie and Brownie. Monroe loves dogs!!!

This morning we did another guided drawing of a puppy witch. You can see that our colouring is improving so much in just a few short lessons.

In the morning we also had library.  Some pink slips went home today if your child has an overdue book.  Please do your best to remember to bring your books back.  If you bring them back early they just hang out in the classroom library bin till library day.

Happy Halloween from the PM Crew!

This afternoon we had a costume parade, music, PE, popcorn snack and centers.  We were so busy having fun that no pictures were taken.  Have a very safe and fun time Trick or Treating this weekend!!

 Our Kinder Teachers are mad spooky scientists and they were excited to participate in some fun Halloween Experiments today. 

This morning our Rock Star was Cruz.  Cruz shared that he LOVES Pandas!!! He has 5 pandas.  His favourite panda is his Mind Craft Panda. He likes pandas because one day he got a stuffy for his birthday and when he first saw it he realized how much he likes them. 

This afternoon our Rock Star was Milarose.  Milarose loves to do puzzles and play with her toys.

Today we spent time really looking at our pumpkins and we did a guided drawing of a pumpkin.  We also learned how to shade the pumpkin to add dimension.

Using blocks we measured to see how big our pumpkin was. 

After our measuring we opened up the pumpkins and grabbed some seeds. Some pumpkins had lots of seeds and some only had a few.  Some pumpkins had lots of guts and some didn't have any.

 

We also wondered if pumpkins sink or float?  Most kids thought that because pumpkins were heavy they would sink.  We were all super surprised when we found out that they float.

Finally for our MOST FAVOURITE experiment we had an exploding pumpkin.  I wish that I had recorded it so that you could hear all the excitement!!
