Our Kinder Teachers are mad spooky scientists and they were excited to participate in some fun Halloween Experiments today. 

This morning our Rock Star was Cruz.  Cruz shared that he LOVES Pandas!!! He has 5 pandas.  His favourite panda is his Mind Craft Panda. He likes pandas because one day he got a stuffy for his birthday and when he first saw it he realized how much he likes them. 

This afternoon our Rock Star was Milarose.  Milarose loves to do puzzles and play with her toys.

Today we spent time really looking at our pumpkins and we did a guided drawing of a pumpkin.  We also learned how to shade the pumpkin to add dimension.

Using blocks we measured to see how big our pumpkin was. 

After our measuring we opened up the pumpkins and grabbed some seeds. Some pumpkins had lots of seeds and some only had a few.  Some pumpkins had lots of guts and some didn't have any.

 

We also wondered if pumpkins sink or float?  Most kids thought that because pumpkins were heavy they would sink.  We were all super surprised when we found out that they float.

Finally for our MOST FAVOURITE experiment we had an exploding pumpkin.  I wish that I had recorded it so that you could hear all the excitement!!
