This morning our Rock Star was Ryan.  He loves to play with his friends and play Mario.

This afternoon we celebrated our Birthday Girl Sawyer.  Happy Birthday Sawyer!!!

We are learning the life cycle of the Praying Mantis and the Butterfly.  We will be comparing the similarities and differences.

Although we were super busy today with Music in the AM and PE in the PM, we still had time to play with our friends at center time and have lots of fun creating!!

We need a baby photo of each student for our Graduation Slideshow!  Please drop a picture of your child as a baby in the Google Classroom folder labeled "Baby Photos". The deadline to get this in the slideshow will be June 10.

Friday is Sports Day.  This is a PM Friday.  AM students are welcome to participate in this day as well.  It is an optional day for AM students.   If you choose for your AM child to attend, please arrange to drop off and pick up as normal and they will join my PM class for the day.  Parents are welcome to attend IF they have completed the CBE volunteer forms at the office and are fully cleared.

 This morning our Rock Star was Sadie. Sadie loves to skate and rollerblade.  These are cool shoes because they can be both.  

Well.....the battle of Alberta is over and even though some kids cheered for the wrong team they are still super special and important to us.  Congratulations to our Oiler fans. :)

The teachers made a where were we during the last Battle of Alberta board,  Can you recognize any teachers?

Today we went outside to look for different objects outside that were longer or shorter than a block of ten.

We also made our robot for the Amazing Race. Her name is Bow.  For bonus points Mr. Bennett came to weigh our robot to make sure it was the right size. 

Orange Shirt Day is June 1 with an assembly in the morning for our final sacred teaching.

Our Sports Day will be June 3 as long as the rain stays away

We will be celebrating our Kindergartens this year in style! This year our Kindergarten Celebration will be on June 16 in the gym. I hope to see you all there!!

This morning our Rock Star was Ryan. Ryan loves Mario! He has quite the collection of Mario legos and Mario hot wheels. He also loves playing the Super Mario games with his mom.

This afternoon our Rock Star was Krish. Krish loves to make crafts and arts. He loves painting, drawing, colouring, cutting paper, and creating anything. He wants to become artist when he grows up.

Today we continued to work on our Amazing Race. The soccer tricks are fun but a little hard for us. We also did our Medicine Wheel for Honesty which is the Sabe. We also moved our Caterpillars into their permanent home. They love the extra space to move around but their favourite place to be is near the food.

TOMORROW is the USED BOOK SALE!!!

Each class will have a chance tomorrow to check out the sale and buy some books. Please bring a few dollars tomorrow to pick out a book and raise money for the school. The books range from 25 cents to $2. It is also not too late to bring in some books to contribute to the sale.

 This morning we celebrated our Birthday Boy Quentin!!!!  Happy Birthday, Quentin!!!

In the afternoon our Rock Star was Beckham. Beckham has a passion for anything outside. He loves playing soccer twice a week and can’t wait to run around and score goals with his team.  Whenever we get to explore the mountains and go on hikes Beckham always has to bring some rocks and sticks home to add to his collection. On weekends Beckham loves to get out on his bike and pretend to be a motorcycle until he is old enough to ride a real motorcycle.

Today was VERY BUSY looking at all the cool things in our school. First, we checked out how big our Mantis got over the weekend! It's getting so BIG. Second, we checked out our caterpillars. They grew so much this weekend. Third, our pumpkin seeds have really sprouted and grew a bunch of new stems. Finally, we got a chance to check out the cute baby ducks down the hallway!!!

We also started a new poem and continued to work on reading our colour words. To make a busy day even busier our AM crew had Music and our PM crew had PE. We started learning about measuring. Today we had to find things on the playground that were bigger than us and things that were smaller than us. Lastly, we started our second week of the CBE Amazing Race.

Amazing Race Week 2

This week we will be making a robot and participating in lots of soccer challenges since we are in Qatar.
