This morning our Rock Star was Siena.  Siena shared that she loves to play Vet with her stuffs.  She likes to make her animal friends feel better.

In the afternoon our Rock Star was Beckham.  Beckham loves Monster Jam. He can’t wait till Monster Jam comes back to Calgary so he can go see the trucks in person and see all their cool tricks. Beckham also shared that he was wearing his soccer shirt. He told us that the white soccer shirt was for when he was outside.

First thing in class we went back to explore our pumpkins for a minute or two.  We read the story, Pumpkin Jack.  In the story this little boy loved his pumpkin so much that he named him Jack.  Jack did not get thrown out after trick or treating and in the summer there was a big surprise. We are going to be watching the entire life cycle of the pumpkin from the inside the jars.  We know that it is going to get kinda dirty and messy inside the hard so we won't open the lids until the spring.  One pumpkin has been carved just like Pumpkin Jack.  The other pumpkin is whole.  We are really excited to see the difference between the two pumpkins and explore our year long experiment. 

After our brief pumpkin talk we returned back to Peace.  We read the story, What does Peace Feel Like?  We had a conversation as we talked about what Peace can taste like, smell like, sound like, feel like and look like.  In our journals today we wrote what peace is.  We REALLY focused on staying on topic and YAY everyone was on topic for todays journal!  Great job Kindergarten.  The kids are growing so quickly and becoming excellent members of our classroom community.
