In the morning our Rock Star was Nolan. In December traditions Nolan celebrates his Birthday and making homemade turtles for Christmas. His mom and dad always make sure there is a special celebration for his birthday because it is so close to Christmas and it deserves special recognition. His family has been making turtles with Nana and Papa for 32 years (when mom was a kid). Every year we make about 200 to share with friends and family.
In the afternoon our Rock Star was Sawyer. Every December, he finds a night to “sleep under the Christmas tree.” This tradition started with his mom and uncle when they were kids, and now he gets to do it too. It’s fun, but sometimes it’s hard to sleep because we keep the tree lights on all on
Today we celebrated Groundhogs Day. We watched Balzac Billy and found out that he saw his shadow. That means that there is 6 more weeks of winter. We went outside to check for ourselves but we did not see our shadow. Maybe we can pretend to be the groundhog and follow our own shadow prediction. :)

As we continue to learn about LOVE we read the story, Love From the Crayons. It was a super cute story all about the colours of LOVE. We did some top secret writing as well, but you will have to wait to see what that was about. :)
