This morning our Rock Star was Skylar. In the afternoon our Rock Star was Malin. She shared that her favourite book was Frozen 2. She loved three parts about this book. The kids LOVED talking about the book and watching the story version on the SMARTboard while eating snack.
Fresh snow and mild temperatures = playing outside!!! It has been a LONG time since we were able to play nicely outside. Even yesterday it was a little cold but today was a perfect day to play.
As we prepare for the 100th Day of School we focused on the number 100 today. We did 10 different movements 10 times. We clapped, jumped, snapped, danced, tapped, did arm circles etc until we ended up at 100!!! It was such a BIG number. We also played a dice game. We had to cut ten ten frames and roll a dice then colour the number that we rolled. We also worked more on our 100 Days Visual Journal Page. Ask your child about the funny picture they glued on their page.
We each took 10 blocks and counted out 100 blocks. We learned that if 10 people have 10 blocks that equals 100!!
Tomorrow we are celebrating 100 Days of School by dressing like we are 100 years old. I am so excited to see all my old little students tomorrow. :)
