This morning our Rock Star was Siena. Every year, before Christmas, they make chocolates with her Nana. In this picture, they are making turtles. She pours caramel onto the pecans and then rolls them in chocolate. When they are dry she gets to eat some. Then her family give some away to her friends and neighbours.
In the afternoon our Rock Star was Beckam. Every year at Christmas we get an ornament that represents something that happened that year. We got the pickle one year because everyone in the family except mom loves pickles and my favourite ornament I have gotten is the monster truck because I love monster trucks. Every year when we decorate the Christmas tree it is so much fun looking at all the ornaments we have gotten throughout the years and reliving the memories we have.
Today we learned about the letter Ee.
In Kindergarten we go outside up until -19. The snow is on the ground and Jack Frost is nipping at our toes. Please practice putting on snow gear those zippers are tricky. In Kindergarten we are working on full independence with our snow gear.
Friendly reminder to label all your snow gear, especially black gloves :)
UPCOMING FUN
Our Healthy Hunger is now closed but our Polar Express Kindergarten fun day is almost here. On Friday ALL Kindergarten students will arrive at the gym doors and be dismissed from the gym doors. We will watch the Polar Express and have some cookies thanks to Healthy Hunger, make some art projects and play in the gym and sing some Christmas Songs. On Friday we will celebrate with a PJ Day to match our special movie and art activities.
***If you did not purchase a cookie from Healthy Hunger please put a special treat in your childs snack on Friday so they can participate in the festivities. ***
