Today we read, From the Crayons with Love. In our journals, we wrote what love is. This was one of our best journals this year and I had to share them with you. You can see that our hard work on drawing people has paid off. Also, we have been working on background details and the details in our pictures are AMAZING!! We have a no-white rule now as well as at least six colours rule.
In the AM Mrs. Gall was away so we did not exchange our library books but we had more time to play. In the PM we had music.
IN AMAZING NEWS I AM OFFICIALLY DONE WITH THIS RECENT ASSESSMENT!!! Thank you for your patience during this time. My brain has been pretty assessment smooshy and sometimes my brain has not worked well reading emails or talking with you. haha If you can imagine each child in kindergarten (45 kids) completed 152 questions that were 1-1 with me and interview-style questions. Now I will put the information into the computer program. This assessment is broken up into three groups. Oral Expression, Phonological Skills, and Print- Based Skills.

Final Days to Register for 2023/2024 Kindergarten
Dear NBS families,
New Brighton School’s kindergarten registration deadline is approaching quickly. This year we are going to be capped at 95 students for the 2023/2024 kindergarten program. If we exceed that number of registrants we enter into a lottery to determine who is accepted. The lottery occurs next Wednesday, February 15thmeaning the last day to register your child for the lottery is Tuesday, February 14th. This includes all students planning on attending kindergarten next year regardless of whether they have older siblings attending the school currently or if they are hoping to attend kindergarten in a CBE alternative program.
