Day 33

Our Rock Stars today were Henry and Madison.  Henry shared his favourite toy.  The boys loved his Batman toy and they took turns asking lots of questions about it. Madison shared her hoola hoop and told us all the tricks she could do with it.

Today we added to our letter booklet.  We made a tennis court for the letter  T.  Ask your child if they can sing the T song.

Centers are the best part of the day.  We love playing with our friends.  Right now the most popular centre is our poster centre.  We are colouring a HUGE halloween poster to decorate the hallway. The Cafe continues to be a favourite as well.  If you have donated to our Autumn Cafe thank you very much.

We are on a pumpkin hunt.  Next week I would like to dive into the fun world of pumpkins.  We are looking for enough pumpkins to make a few groups so all the children get a chance to participate. If you are able to donate a pumpkin (big or small) to our classroom I would really appreciate that.

Google Classroom is a tool we are using this year.  It is a new technology and it will get easier but I understand it can be tricky at first. Here are some helpful step by step tips.

Step 1: Log onto Google Classroom using your child's info

Step 2: Click on your classroom

Step 3: Click on Classwork
**anything that is an "assignment" needs to be submitted for teacher assessment and feedback. Anything that is a "material" does not need to be submitted**

Step 4: Click on desired topic

Step 5: Click on desired assignment
**on the bottom of the screen will be a place to attach a picture. Once it is attached you can click save and it goes right into my mailbox.**

Step 6: Submit assignment
Once your child has their picture in Google Classroom they will be our Rock Star.  We are running out of potential Rock Stars please submit their artifact.  During our Rock Star presentation children are learning to speak with a loud voice to share something important to them.  They are also learning how to ask and answer questions.

**If you need any help using Google Classroom please let me know. I can help you after school to walk you through it on your smart device. It is important this year to be part of our Google Classroom environment just incase AHS sends us to online learning.
