Day 166

In the morning our Rock Star was Jack.   “This weekend we went to a beautiful lake camping! They had a dock I liked to play on and fish from. I found something that might be a bone or a stone. My Papa in a Geologist (he knows about rocks and the earth) so I ask him when I find things I want to know about.

In the afternoon our Rock Star was Tristan. Tristan loves playing his Nintendo Switch. His favorite game is New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe. He likes this game because he's able to play it with his family and they can all play at the same time. His favorite character to be is Nabbit because he doesn't take any damage from enemies. Very recently he and his brother were able to beat the whole game which they were very proud of!

Today any of our caterpillars that made it into a chrysalis moved into their new home.  We still have a few caterpillars that are still eating.

Today we wrote a letter to our grade one teacher telling them what we loved learning the most in Kindergarten.  These will be saved and sent to their new teachers.

The colouring station was filled with new butterfly pictures to colour and it was a very popular centre today.

** With Covid restrictions in place we are not able to have a graduation celebration.  However,  Mrs. Hughes and I have put together a Farewell with Flair (masks required).  On June 24 class will be dismissed ten- fifteen minutes early for both the AM and PM students.  During this time the children will walk out of the door and down our stairs wearing a graduation hat with music and line up against our classroom wall outside.  One at a time as I say good bye to your child and connect them with their adult, I will give them each a Kindergarten Graduation certificate and pause for pictures.  We will also have an outdoor Photo Booth to celebrate this huge achievement with your child.  On Google Classroom you will find the virtual ceremony that you can watch with your kinder graduate at home that will also be released on the 24th. Once again this is not an official Graduation Ceremony just an extra wonderful good bye so your kids get the chance to feel amazing and loved as they move onto grade 1. **
