Today we started our second round of Rock Star Show and Tell. The second round is all about our name. This morning our Rock Star was Arielle faith Maier. Her yaya (grandma) chose her name from the little mermaid when Sebastian says Ariel but we liked the way he said it. Ari-Elle and her middle name is the same as my yaya’s which is Faith. Ariel means "lion of God". In the PM our Rock Star was Connor Marty Choi. Connor was the only name his parents both agreed on that sounded good with Choi. They chose Marty as his middle name because Connor was born in October 2015 which was the month and year that Marty McFly went to in Back to the Future. Connor means “lover of dogs” or “wise.”
As we continue our Kindness study we read the story Kindness is my Super Power. We drew a picture of the earth in our Visual Journals and painted over the earth with a wash.
