Day 51

This morning our Rock Star was Easton Brodie Goodhand. His family loves country music and was named after Easton Corbin.  Here is a fun fact about Easton, he was born on Easter weekend and a friend pointed out the similarity in his name.  Easton means East Town.

In the afternoon our Rock Star was Charles Timothy Alexander H---. Charles was chosen as a name that was easy to read/pronounce but (ideally) not too common. Mom and Dad also liked that Charles easily lends itself to nicknames (Charlie, Chuck, Chaz). Growing up his mom and dad had lots of kids with their names. Timothy is a family name (as shared with Charles’ Great Grandfather). Alexander was a unique name mom and dad liked. Charles means “man” or “army/warrior” or “king”.

Rockin' Room 136 celebrated Children's Day by wearing blue.

To finish off our Kindness week we coloured and cut out hands with our names on it to make one large Kindergarten piece of artwork for our bulletin board in the hallway.

The large heart turned out a little wonky but we like it anyways. :)

We also finished our letter Nn study by drawing the airplane that make a loud nnnnnnnnnnnnn sound.

We had a BLAST at centers today as we built towers together using lots of different materials.

Have a great long weekend!  Tomorrow us Kinder teachers will be taking some courses with the rest of the school AND switching up our centers.  Stay tuned for some VERY excited kids on Monday as they see what we have created for the next month.
