HAPPY FRIDAY! Friday's are always exciting in Kindergarten because we start our morning with some iPad time. Today we had some exploring time just to learn about our school iPads and see what apps we have.
We went outside for Recess again with both Kindergarten classes. It is so much fun to be together with all of our friends.
Today our learning activity was some artwork for our classroom walls. We are working on our fine motor skills so today we practice using scissors and glue. We are cutting and pasting coloured paper in the shape of the first letter of our name.
For snack time our tables were full of little pieces of paper we had our snack picnic style on the floor and Mrs. Hellyer put on an episode of Super Why.
Next week our AM Kinders will participate in the Terry Fox Run on Thursday morning and our PM Kinders will participate in the Terry Fox Run on Friday with the rest of the school. For both runs, we will be buddied up with our grade five friends to help us have fun and stay safe. Each child will be given a large sticker that says who they are running for. If your child will be running for someone special to you please let me know at emhellyer@cbe.ab.ca and I will make sure that the right name goes on their sticker. Please let me know by Wednesday so I can have time to put all the information on the stickers.
Next week the AM crew will also be participating in a fire drill on Tuesday and a Lock Down Practice on Thursday. Both times they will be told just before it happens so that they don't get too nervous but I will go over the expectations and walk them through the drill before it happens.
