Day 141

Most of today was TOP SECRET but we did have a little fun that I can share.  We went outside and had an experiment.  We had three different types of pop and we added mentos to the pop to see which pop blew up the highest.  Each child made a guess and we had different teams.  Team orange, Team Cream Soda and Team Root Beer.  You can ask your child which team they were part of.

Kindergarten will get a chance to experience the magical life cycle of a butterfly.  Kits with everything we need to raise caterpillars are due to arrive by the end of May. With this comes a $4.00 fee.  This can be paid electronically on powerschool or you can send in cash labeled with your child’s name.  If you have already paid, your name is checked off.

Please keep this a secret from your children as we would like this to be a surprise and to build up to it.

For the month of May we will be collecting plastic lids for an art activity in June.  Any plastic lid from a margarine, yogurt, cottage cheese, or sour cream container would be great. :)

Attention, breaking news! After 8 months of the teachers telling the children what to share during their special presentations we are going to SWITCH IT UP!  We know that our kids are passionate about many different topics that they have shared with us during conversations.  We love how unique they are and always wanting to share about special things in their lives.  This round of our Show and Share is all about your child sharing their voice and speaking about their passion.

What excites you or what are you an expert at?  Pretend you are a News Reporter and you are sharing this information with your friends. What would you like to share? What makes you excited and lights a fire? Do you have a hobby, interest or passion? Now is your chance to share.  Send in 1-3 photos and be prepared to explain your passion to us and answer some questions.
