WOW! What a great start to the week! We are continuing to work on our routines. When my Kinder Rock Stars first come into the school they put their outdoor shoes outside in the hallway. Then they grab their indoor shoes from the shoe rack and find their coat hook with their name on it. Water bottles go on their table and lunch kits go on the shoe rack where there shoes were. Pretty soon we will have this down faster than the speed of lightening.
When the little Kinder friends first come into the classroom a new INVESTIGATION is waiting for them on the table. This week Investigations will be play dough. Each play dough is individually wrapped with their name on it. (If you are interested in helping make play dough please let me know:) Our crew made some fantastic animals using their imaginations. Great job Kinders!!!
By the sink we have our hand washing reminders. Baby Shark gives us clues on how to wash our hands and for 20 seconds each time. Hand washing is still our favourite way to get rid of the germs on our hands.
Each day we do a learning job. To make learning jobs more fun I like to call them POWER UP because we are powering up our brains. Today's Power Up was coloring the first letter of our name with crayon. Then we got to use a paint wash to magically paint over our crayons. They all turned out fantastic!
This afternoon we had a Welcome Back assembly unlike any assembly we have ever had at New Brighton. We used google meet to connect with our fabulous admin team. We were given virtual high fives for being awesome our first week of school and read a silly book at a silly school. We laughed at how funny the teachers and principal were in the story.
